Georgetown Day School, Spring Issue 2023
Georgetown Day School is a private K-12 institution located in the nation’s capitol where joyful learning leads to meaningful impact in a changing world. After a lengthy vetting and proposal process, I came on-board to completely revamp the school’s treasure magazine. Using the themes of joy, energy and modernization to guide the direction of the design, I also was tasked at creating better wayfinding for the reader. Using bright color profiles for each standard section, whitespace, grids, format-busting layouts for the feature well and a cutie little mascot grasshopper hopping along the bottom of each page, I created an easy-to-navigate branded publication that received oodles of wonderful client feedback. I also got to stretch my Illustration muscles with custom cover illo and playful squiggles to highlight the excitement of their students.

TreesLouisville, Annual Report 2023
Teamwork was a word that guided the TreesLouisville organization in 2023, and through employing the circle as a visual cue of that wholeness, inclusiveness, and togetherness, I created an annual report that felt unified, playful while also synthesizing their year-end-review of data and stats. Smart and Snappy look design for the win!

Vermont College of Fine Arts, Alumnx Magazine 2023
A whopping 108 pages, the second edition of Georgetown Days Magazine was chock-full of movement and joy. A problem presented at the beginning of this magazine design was how to make the traditionally ‘dry’ philanthropy report into something that felt fresh, engaging and and, of course, joyful. Using a combination of a tie-and-suit-serif with a chunky typefaces all while embellished in a bright cacophony of colors, the Giving Report feature well had a lot of playful pizazz for all eyes to feast upon.

Sunday Riley, The Sunday Edit Sleep Guide
A skincare giant, Sunday Riley brought me in to design the 48 page mini-magazine for their highly coveted subscription box. Focused on sleep, this subscription box was meant to build buzz over newly conceived products, enrich the customers' brand experience and position themselves as the experts in the beauty industry by pairing science-based information with a luxury beauty design. In addition to other bits and bobs in the box, the mini-magazine I designed was part journal, part ad, part beauty advice column but ultimately a large brand loyalty builder!

Case Study
The Green Report
The Green Report is a piece of collateral design for a non-profit in Louisville, Kentucky that focuses on planting trees in the community. This small booklet was used as brand outreach and education for folks interested in bringing more trees into the community. Going analog, I used my daughter's construction paper to art direct and create this communication collateral.
Planned Parenthood, Service Report
Provided with all the branded assets, the folks at Planned Parenthood needed a small booklet created for their annual fundraiser. Created in both English and Spanish, I had the opportunity to create several infographics and charts to showcase a ‘by-the-numbers’ review of the past year at their South Texas locations.

TreesLouisville, Annual Report
Using TreesLouisville branded assets and images provided, I reimagined a word heavy document into a bite-sized visual language to show off the non-profit's hard work to their board, stakeholders, and potential donors. The final result provided a hierarchy of information presented and livened up copy-heavy pages with space and beauty.

TreesLouisville, Green Report
One of my favorite projects to date, I had the opportunity to break away from the computer to draw, cut, and photograph the native leaves found in the city of Louisville. The goal of this project was to merge the tactile-ness of trees with a polished look of a ‘ducks-in-a-row’ non-profit. This project received glowing reviews from both my clients and their intended audience.

Kentucky Derby Museum, Gift Shop Catalog
Twice a year, the Kentucky Derby Museum sent out a catalog mailer to all the Derby fanatics around the world. I played the role of art director, product photographer and designer. From project management to cross-referencing the price points and skus, this was a huge undertaking but was met with great success for the older population receiving this catalog in their mailbox. Featured here are a few select interiors and one of my favorite covers.

PRINTED, Louisville Zine
Done pro-bono, I came on board as a consulting art director and designer that put the book together. The folks at PRINTED had already done the legwork of collecting all the images and copy but I brought it all to the page by folding in my own hand-lettering, custom gradients, line mark making, ink images, green bubble wrap photography, my kiddo’s drawings, and staple letters. It was a wonderful experience to celebrate the local artists from my hometown and to have my digital collage work (the pink image!) and my daughter's handiwork featured within this zine’s pages.
